In recognition of its service and commitment to society, the World Council for Global Governance nominated the Samiti for the Global Peacock Award for Philanthropy in 2006. A Certificate of Commendation was presented at the Global Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility at Vilamoura, Portugal. It was indeed a golden moment for our President, Ms Saranya S Hegde when she received the award on behalf of the Samiti in the presence of an august gathering of distinguished guests.
In appreciation of its outstanding work, the MDS was awarded the prestigious Times ‘ Sahayogi Award’ for people-oriented service in 2011.
Our President was felicitated with the ‘Women Achievers’ Award for her exemplary contribution in the field of Social Service with special emphasis on her commitment to the cause of helping women in distress at a program held on 8th March, 2015 by Synergea Foundation in association with the Government of Karnataka.
